Web accessibility, done honestly

An accessibility toolbar your visitors can actually use — in two script tags.

Lumara Access adds text sizing, contrast, motion control and reading aids to any website. No visitor data sent to an AI scanning service, no black box — just a dependency-free script you drop in and configure with one line.

What it is

A small, dependency-free accessibility toolbar that any site embeds with two<script>tags. Preferences persist across page loads for the visitor who set them, and nothing about how they use it is sent to a server or scanned by an AI service — unlike every overlay vendor we compared ourselves against.

Worth knowing before you buy any of these tools

Accessibility overlay widgets as a category — Lumara Access included — improve the experience for many visitors, but they are not a substitute for real semantic HTML and ARIA work, and shouldn't be sold or treated as a legal compliance guarantee. We'd rather tell you that up front than let you find out later.

Try it on this page

This isn't a screenshot. Look for the accessibility icon in the bottom-right corner of your screen, open it, and try the controls on this very page.

Look bottom-right

What's in the panel

Organised into three groups, matching how visitors actually think about the controls they need.

Text

Text size

4 discrete steps, individually selectable — not just sequential stepping.

Dyslexia-friendly font

OpenDyslexic, self-hosted. No external font CDN request.

Line & letter spacing

Adjustable independently for easier reading.

Visual & Motion

High contrast

One-click high-contrast mode across the whole page.

Grayscale

Removes colour for visitors sensitive to it.

Pause animations

Freezes motion in place rather than snapping it back to the start.

Orientation

Highlight links

Real background highlight, not just an underline — wraps cleanly across lines.

Outline focus

Makes keyboard focus clearly visible.

Reading mask

A moving readable band that tracks the cursor, dimming the rest of the page.

Page structure

A live jump list built from the page’s real headings — click to scroll and focus.

How it compares

Cheaper than every major overlay vendor, and the only one of the four that doesn't send your visitors' data to an AI scanning service to work.
